Last Ramadan there came
A girl in flowing robes -
She hints at things with a sly wink.
Whiter than a sister of the Ibadhi clan,
Would that I were like you in fairness!
Like a gazelle adorned with youthfulness,
A slender-waisted beauty with soft cheeks -
When she decides to set out on a howdah
She draws men with her figure and swaying gait.
