  1. Our companions in Egypt have forsaken

    their companions, taking memory for company.

  2. I asked after them one by one,

    and received the happiest tidings of them.

  3. As though they deemed striving to

    amass wealth the greatest goal,

  4. and pledged that after this we would meet

    for fellowship at the other rendezvous.
