And burying truth in stoning

وغش تلو تضليل

وفوز الزور والتهم

And deceit after deception

And the victory of fraud and greed

وسلطان الخداع على

ضمير العدل والذمم

And the sultanate of deception over

The conscience of justice and integrity

وشعوذة وتغرير

لسحق الصدق والكرم

And witchcraft and delusion

To crush honesty and generosity

ومفسدة لاخلاق

وتجرئة على الحرم

And corruption of morals

And audacity against the sanctity

وجعجعة وتهويل

لغمّ النور بالقتمِ

And clamor and intimidation

To extinguish light with darkness

والفاظٌ مطنطنةٌ

وتعظيم لمجترم

And words that clang

And glorification of criminals

قد اجتمع القضاة وهم

عصارة سُلطة الأمم

The judges gathered and they are

The elite of the authority of nations

عقيب هلاك ربوات

بربوات من النسم

After the destruction of fortunes

With fortunes of breaths

وبعد مجالس جمعت

رجال الحل والبرم

And after councils that gathered

Men of resolution and judgment

وعقب السلب والتغري

م والتقسيم والتهم

And after looting and extortion

And division and greed

وبعد العصر والتفكي

ر والتفصيل والنظم

And after the era and reflection

And detailing and organization

تمخّض جمعهم عما

دعوه خير مختتم

Their gathering gave birth to what

They called the best conclusion

ونادوا انهم ظفروا

بسر الرغد والسلم

And they proclaimed that they succeeded

In the secret of prosperity and peace

وقد ضمنوا لأهل الأر

ض عدلا سابغ النعم

And they guaranteed the people of earth

Justice abundant in blessing

إذ اختاروا لهم حكما

جماعة مجلس علم

When they chose for them a rule

A group, council of knowledge
