We refused to lighten the darkness,

And we tore apart every seam of the matter,

How much wealth we robbed from the wealthy

With our swords until he endured hardship,

With blows that remove anxiety from his dwellings,

    And stabs with sharpened spearheads,

And I drank from the sect of Al-Mukhtar before

With blows upon their skulls, nullifying magic.
