في وَصف فَم الخود لِساني طالا
إِذ أَصبَحَ في مَضيقِهِ دَخّالا
Describing the maiden’s mouth, my tongue grew long,
when it became a frequent intruder in its narrow confines.
يا دَولَةَ طلّاعِ ثَنايا حَركٍ
في فَتحِ مَمالك الثُغور اِحتالا
O fortune of him who scales the incisors, contrive
a stratagem to conquer the kingdoms of mouths.
