عِشِ اِبقَ اِسمُ سُد قُد جُد مُرِ اِنهَ رِفِ اِسرِ نَل

غِظِ اِرمِ صِبِ اِحمِ اِغزُ اِسبِ رُع زَع دِلِ اِثنِ نُل

Live, my name is already engraved. Though adversity may strive, as long as passions survive, this prayer needs no vocable sound

Live, last, rise, rule, lead, give, bid, ban, soar, march, attain,

If I were to fall silent, it would still abound

Vex, shoot, hit, guard, raid, seize, awe, curb, guide, turn, bestow,

وَهَذا دُعاءٌ لَو سَكَتُّ كُفِيتَهُ

لِأَنّي سَأَلتُ اللَهَ فيكَ وَقَد فَعَل

For in you, to God Himself appealed I have

And this is a prayer whereof, had I been silent, you would be spared the need,

And He has responded, as I knew He would

For I have asked God concerning you, and He has done the deed.
