Her Lord has rewarded the Arabs for spending their night in wakefulness
May the Lord reward the Arabs dwelling in Bilbays,
With it their eyes have been delighted, as the sleepless watcher from Kais Ibn 'Ailan
For noble deeds that grant their eyes a sweet repose;
And with it He has specially favoured Abdel Aziz Ibn Yusuf
Vast squadrons of Qays ibn 'Aylan, keeping watch,
So he is only their rain-cloud and their helper
Whose sword-sheaths serve high glory, as do their wakeful eyes;
A young man who adorns in my eyes the noblest of his tribe
And He singled out 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Yusuf,
And many a master in a garment that does not adorn him
For he is truly their abundant rain and flowing spring;
A youth who adorns, in my sight, his tribe's furthest kin,
While many a master wears a robe he fails to grace.
