From which path could generosity ever find its way to you?

Where are the cupping jars, O Kafur, and the shears?

Those whom your hands possess have surpassed their true worth,

Only to learn through you that dogs stand higher than they.

There is nothing more repugnant than a stallion with a member

Who is led by a slave girl possessing no womb.

The masters of all peoples spring from their own stock,

But the masters of the Muslims are dwarfish slaves.

Is the summit of religion merely the trimming of your mustaches,

O nation whose ignorance has made the nations laugh?

Is there no youth to drive the Indian blade into his skull,

That the doubts and suspicions of men may be dispelled?

For he is a proof used to torment the hearts

Of those whose creed is Time, denial, and eternity.

How able is God to bring disgrace upon His creation,

Yet not confirm the claims that such people make!
