We possess a sovereign whose high concerns taste not of slumber,

Dealing death to the living, or life to the dead,

Too exalted is he to let a speck offend his eyelids,

And should poverty glimpse him at your side, it turns to flee.

May God reward, on my behalf, the Sword of Hashim's State,

For his flooding generosity is my sword and my domain.
