The Prince's boon companions chide me for drinking,
Companionship with the Prince has rebuked my blamers,
and deny my petition though I implore.
Sufficing—in that draught—to answer those who ask.
The rainclouds of your hands have watered my heart's garden -
The clouds of your hands have rained relief upon my thirsting heart,
I bear your thanks, believing your favor will sustain me.
I carry the weight of gratitude, while your benevolence carries me.
When can I give due thanks for your great gifts to me?
So when can I fulfill the thanks for all that you have granted,
No words can tell your worth - you stand above all praise.
Since words in your praise but raise the speaker's rank?
