1. مَضى اللَيلُ وَالفَضلُ الَّذي لَكَ لا يَمضي

    وَرُؤياكَ أَحلى في العُيونِ مِنَ الغُمضِ

    The night has passed, but your virtues do not fade away,

    And the sight of you is sweeter in my eyes than closing them.

  2. عَلى أَنَّني طُوِّقتُ مِنكَ بِنِعمَةٍ

    شَهيدٌ بِها بَعضي لِغَيري عَلى بَعضي

    Though you have granted me such bounty as surrounds me,

    Parts of me bear witness to it, more than others.

  3. سَلامُ الَّذي فَوقَ السَمَواتِ عَرشُهُ

    تُخَصُّ بِهِ يا خَيرَ ماشٍ عَلى الأَرضِ

    May He whose throne is above the heavens,

    Grant you, best of those who walk the earth, His peace.
