أَنصُر بِجودِكَ أَلفاظاً تَرَكتُ بِها

في الشَرقِ وَالغَربِ مَن عاداكَ مَكبوتا

With your support I left behind in East and West

Aid with your bounty the words by which I have left

Words that subdue those hostile to you.

Your foes in the East and the West silenced and suppressed.

فَقَد نَظَرتُكَ حَتّى حانَ مُرتَحَلي

وَذا الوَداعُ فَكُن أَهلاً لِما شيتا

For I have regarded you until my departure was nigh

For I have waited upon you until my departure is due,

And this is farewell - so be prepared for what you desire.

And this is the farewell—so be worthy of what you pursue.
