ومِثلُكَ يُتَّقى أبداً ويُرجى

A saying about you came to me, so I was overjoyed,

وجدتُ إليكَ طُرقاً منكَ نهجا

I would have found ways to you that I took from you.

I would have found the paths to you paved clear.

فلَمّا جئتُ أشرقَ منكَ بَدرٌ

وكان لتِمِّه الإسعادُ بُرْجا

So when I came, a full moon rose from you,

But when I came, a full moon shone from you,

And it was destined that happiness would come from your perfection.

And good fortune was the mansion of its fullness.
