In my hands, O dubious prince
I yield my fate to you, O sagacious Prince,
For nothing, except that I am a stranger
For no cause other than that I am a stranger,
Or for a mother who, when she remembers me
Or for a mother’s sake, who, upon remembering me,
The heart bleeds with teary eyes
Sheds the blood of her heart in pouring tears.
If I have sinned before I saw you
If, before I saw you, I had committed sin,
I now repent in your hands
Then behold, at your hands, I now repent.
He who blamed me when with you
A fault-finder maligned me to you, yet from him,
Faults originate in the faulty
The very nature of faults was forged in the flawed.
