لَو نَطَقَ الناسُ أَو أَثنَوا بِعِلمِهِمُ

وَنَبَّهت عَن مَعالي دَهرِكَ الكُتُبُ

If people spoke or praised with their knowledge

And books hinted at the glories of your time

لَم يَبلُغوا مِنكَ أَدنى ما تَمُتُّ بِهِ

إِذا تَفاخَرَتِ الأَملاكُ وَاِنتَسَبوا

They could not reach the least of what you possess
