The Prince of the Faithful and his mention
Indeed, the Commander of the Faithful and his renown are twins to the verses revealed in the Text.
Are paired with the revealed verse in remembrance,
For the Messenger of Allah said: "You shall meet my Kin together with Allah's Book at the Gathering's spring."
For the saying of Allah's Messenger: "You will meet my progeny
When the Imam of the Gathering appears to my sight, then by Time, the deniers are surely in loss.
Together with Allah's Book at the Basin's edge."
The unique pearl of his crown suffices the world, with all the splendor and glory it holds.
When the leader of the Gathering appears to beholders,
Never before had my eyes beheld a star gleaming alongside the radiant sun at noon.
By the afternoon! The deniers are surely in loss.
He is naught but the sea—it is no wonder if it adorns itself with jewels and pearls.
And his orphaned crown suffices creation,
Though he seeks them not for need, as the morning sun has no need for the shining stars.
Containing such splendor and pride as it encloses,
A halo for the parasol has met it, rising through him forever above the halo of the full moon.
Never before him did a planet appear to me
It is but a cloud from his right hand, and the origin of clouds is ever from the depths of the sea.
Shining with the brilliant sun at noon.
It is but the sea, no wonder,
When adorned with pearls and precious gems,
Though it seeks them not out of need—
The sun at daybreak suffices the shining stars.
And opposing it is a halo for the shade
Through which forever it rises over the halo of the moon.
It is but some of the clouds of His right hand,
The wellspring of clouds still being the Ocean's surge.
