With beauty unrivaled in the gardens
And a young gazelle whose like is not in the gardens,
Surpassing all the beauties there
Who has surpassed in beauty all the fair ones.
Naught but his alluring eyes I saw
I saw his eye as nothing but a quiver
Keener than blade, sharper than spearhead's point
For the sword, the blade, and the edge of the spear.
