بَنَيتَ سُليمانَ الزّمانِ أَخا النّدى

لَنا سَلسَبيلاً قَد بَدا مِن مَبرّاتِكْ

You built Solomon the era, brother of dew

For us a flowing stream has appeared from your benevolence

وَجُدْتَ بِهِ خَيراً عَظيماً مفخَّماً

وَلَكِنَّه مِن بَعض أرّخت خَيراتِك

And with it you have brought great, abundant good

Yet it is but a fraction of the good things you have set in motion
