مَصروفُهُ في غايَةِ التّضعيفِ
How many a man of ample income
Yet with expenses most severe!
كَم مِنْ حَسودٍ مُبصر مَدخولُهُ
لَكِنّهُ أَعمى عَنِ المَصروفِ
How many an envious eye looks out
Yet blind to its own career!
