Claude 2

  1. أَجزَل اللَّهُ ذو الجزاءِ ثَواباً

    لِسُلَيمانَ صاحبِ الخَيراتِ

    God bestow abundant reward

    Upon Suleiman, the virtuous patron,

  2. قَد بَنى مُتقِناً لَنا سَلسَبيلاً

    مِنهُ يُسقى العطاشُ ماءَ الحَياةِ

    Who for us built a flowing aqueduct -

    There the thirsty drink the water of life.

  3. قُلت إِذْ نظميَ أرِّخوا فيهِ عِقدٌ

    إِنَّ سَقيَ الما أَحسن الحَسَناتِ

    I said, as my verses gave it a date,

    "To give water is the best of charities."
