أَبو الخَيراتِ شَيَّدَ سَلسَبيلاً

بِإِخلاصٍ إِلَيهِ سَلْ سَبيلا

Abul Khair built a fountain

With sincerity to Him ask the way to the fountain

سُليمانُ الزّمان جَزاهُ رَبّي

وَصَيَّر أَجرَه أَجراً جَزيلا

Suleiman (Solomon) of the time, may my Lord reward him

And made his reward a plentiful reward

وَلَمّا إِن حَلا لِلنّاسِ ماءٌ

وَكانَ لِشارِبيهِ زَنجَبيلا

And when cool water was made accessible to people

And for those who drank from it, it was like ginger

وَلَذَّ فَأَرِّخوهُ وَطابَ سُقيا

رَأَوا عَيناً تُسمّى سَلسَبيلا

It was so delicious, date it, its drinking was pleasant

They saw an eye called Salselbil
