أَتَتكَ عَلى المَجد بِنتٌ سَعيدَةٌ

وَأَنبَتها مَولايَ في أَحسَنِ النّبتِ

A girl of good fortune came to you

Planted by my Lord in the best soil

وَإِذ حَصَلَ التّبكيرُ فيها فَإِنّها

لَجالِبَةٌ لِلسّعدِ في أَحسَنِ البختِ

And since earliness occurred in her, she

Will bring good fortune in the best of luck

وَإِنّ مِنَ الأَمثالِ ما شاعَ في الوَرى

فَقَد حَمدوا التّبكيرَ لا شَكّ بِالبنتِ
