1. يا أَيّها الشّهم الوليّ النعمِ

    يا حَسَن الخُلْقِ الحَميد الشّيمِ

    O noble, generous, kind one

    O finest of manners, praiseworthy traits

  2. يا حاتمَ الجودِ وَمَعنَ الكَرمِ

    يا أَحنفَ الحلمِ العليِّ الهممِ

    O sea of generosity and spring of nobility

    O most clement, lofty, ambitious one

  3. يا ذا الهِزَبر الضّيغَم الضّرغامُ

    وَالبطَل الصّنديد وَالصمصامُ

    O possessor of awe and might—strong and fierce

    O valiant, intrepid, mighty lion

  4. يا أَيّها الدّستورُ وَالجَسورُ

    وَالأَسد المهيب والوقورُ

    O guide and daring one

    O formidable, dignified lion

  5. وَيا أفَندِم وَكَذا سُلطانمْ

    ربّ العُلى وَالمجدِ والمكارِمِ

    My master and sultan

    Lord of supremacy, glory and nobility

  6. أَيَّدكَ اللَّهُ بِروحِ القُدُسِ

    وَحلّةَ القَبولِ مِنهُ تكتسي

    May God aid you with the Holy Spirit

    And clothe you in the robe of acceptance

  7. وَلَم يَزَل لَكَ الزّمانُ حامِياً

    وَحافِظاً وَواقِياً وَراعِيا

    May time ever protect you

    As guardian, preserver, and caretaker

  8. وَغب تَقبيلي بِفي التّعظيمِ

    وَمَبسم التّبجيلِ وَالتفخيمِ

    Please accept my kissing of your hem

    In utmost veneration and esteem

  9. أَذيالُكَ الطّاهرةُ الشّريفه

    وَلَثمُنا أَعتابَكَ المُنيفه

    The train of your pure, noble dress

    As I press my lips upon your blessed threshold

  10. وَبَسطِيَ الأكفَّ بِالضّراعه

    مُستَشفِعاً بِصاحِبِ الشّفاعه

    I stretch out my palms beseechingly

    Appealing to the intercessor

  11. بِأَنّ مَولانا يُطيلُ عُمركا

    وَفي الدُّنى يُبقي بِخير ذِكركا

    That our Lord may lengthen your life

    And in this world perpetuate your good memory

  12. يَحبوكَ بِالنّصرِ وَبِالتّأييدِ

    مُتمّم الإِسعافِ بِالسّعودِ

    He loves you, grants you victory and support

    Perfecting succor with good fortune

  13. وَأبَّد اللَّه تَعالى دَولَتكْ

    وَخَلَّدَ اللَّه تَعالى صَولَتَك

    May God make your state everlasting

    And render your authority eternal

  14. يَجعَلُها وَريفَة الظِّلالِ

    حَسنةَ الأَيّامِ وَالليالي

    Making it a sheltering shade

    Of beautiful days and nights

  15. يَمدّ عَدلَها على الأنامِ

    بِراحَةِ الأَرواحِ والأجسامِ

    Extending its justice over mankind

    With ease of souls and bodies

  16. يَعرض عَبدك الّذي وَرثته

    عَن وارِثِ العَلياءِ مَنْ خَلَفْتَه

    Your servant whom you have inherited

    From the predecessor of the exalted whom you succeeded

  17. والِدكَ المَبرور وَالمَرحوم

    مَنِ اِحتَوتهُ جنّةُ النّعيم

    Your departed, blessed father

    Whom the Garden of Bliss embraces

  18. عَلِيٌّ الشَّهم رَفيعُ الشأنِ

    سَقاهُ رَبّي وابِل الرّضوان

    The noble and lofty ‘Ali

    Quenched by my Lord with the wine of approval

  19. أَنّي قَد شَرفت لَمّا وَفَدا

    مَرسومُكَ العالي لَكَ الروحُ فِدا

    Has had the honor, when there arrived

    Your supreme decree—my soul is sacrificed for you—

  20. قابَلتُهُ بِالحَمدِ وَالتّفخيمِ

    تَأدِيَةً لِحَقِّه الفَخيمِ

    To receive it with praise and veneration

    In fulfilment of its sublime due

  21. مَنطوقُهُ السّامي الشّريفِ أَعرَبا

    أَطيبَ إِعراب حَلا وَأَعذَبا

    Its noble, august text expressed

    The sweetest, most fragrant speech

  22. أَنّ سَخِيّ أَبحرِ المَراحمِ

    وَأَنّ جودَ أَعينِ المَكارمِ

    That the generous sea of mercy

    And spring of the generous eye’s nobility

  23. فاضَت نَدى بِوابِلِ الإِنعامِ

    وَهاطِلِ الإِحسانِ والإِكرامِ

    Poured down showers of grace

    And torrents of beneficence, generosity and honor

  24. عَلى عُبَيْدِكَ الرّقيقِ الحرِّ

    مَنْ ودُّه يوصَفُ بِالأَبرِّ

    Upon your humble loving servants—

    Those whose affection is described as righteous

  25. فَيا لَهُ في الدّهرِ مِن إِحسانِ

    مُستَوجِبٍ لِلحَمدِ وَالشّكرانِ

    What grace it shows through time

    Deserving of thanks and gratitude

  26. والى عَلَيك اللَّهُ ربِّي كَرَمَهْ

    وَواصَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيكَ نِعَمَه

    May God increase His bounty upon you

    And perpetuate His blessings upon you

  27. وَلا بَرِحتَ مَنهَلَ السّخاءِ

    وَديمَةَ الإِحسانِ وَالعَطاءِ

    You remain at the basin of generosity

    And constancy of beneficence and giving

  28. وَقَد قَبضت تِلكُمُ العطيّهْ

    وَالمِنحةَ الفَخيمةَ السنِيَّهْ

    I have received that splendid

    Magnificent, generous gift

  29. مِن مُتسلّمٍ بِبَيروتَ الّتي

    بِنِسبَةٍ إِلى عُلاكَ جَلَّتِ

    From the envoy in Beirut which

    Through its connection to you has been ennobled

  30. وَأَكبَر الإِنعامِ عِندَ العَبدِ

    عبدِك يا خِدنَ العُلى وَالمَجدِ

    And most significant to a servant

    Is the occurrence in the noble and momentous mind

  31. خُطورَهُ في الخاطِرِ الشّريفِ

    وَفي الخَيالِ العاطِفِ المنيفِ

    And the sympathetic, gentle imagination

    While ceaselessly praying to the Master of the Flag

  32. وَهوَ لَكُم بالَغَ في الدّعاءِ

    مُستَشفِعاً بِصاحِبِ اللّواءِ

    Muhammad, master of God’s messengers

    And His repenting, devoted servant

  33. مُحَمّد سيّد رُسلِ اللَّهِ

    وَعَبده المُنيب وَالأوّاهِ

    I hope that He will favor with acceptance

    For that is the utmost of what I aspire

  34. أَرجوهُ أَن يَمُنَّ بِالقَبولِ

    فَذاكَ مِنهُ غايَةُ المَأمولِ

    And this—which the servant has persisted in

    Presenting to you foremost—

  35. وَذا الّذي مِن عَبدكم قَد لَزِما

    إِبداؤُهُ عرضاً لَكُم مُقدّمَا

    He thus presents at your blessed threshold

    And likewise to the noble hearing:

  36. يعرضُ في أَعتابكَ المنيفَهْ

    كَذا عَلى المَسامِعِ الشّريفهْ

    In this the servant hopes that the occurrence

    In the noble and fateful mind

  37. هَذا ويَرجو العَبد لِلخطورِ

    في الخاطِرِ الشّريفِ وَالخطيرِ

    May have your glance include him

    For that is the ultimate that he aspires;

  38. وَأَن يَكونَ لَحظكم يَشملُهُ

    فَإِنَّ ذا أَقصى الّذي يَأملهُ

    And I desire from the Creator of existence

    The eternity of your lofty state,

  39. وَأَرتَجي مِن خالِق البريَّهْ

    تَأبيدَهُ دَولَتك العَلِيَّه

    Enveloped in utmost order

    And utmost system and organization,

  40. مَحفوفَةً بِغايَةِ الإِحكامِ

    وَغايَةِ النّظامِ بِاِنتِظامِ

    Lengthening your life with guidance

    Along the straightest path

  41. مُطوّلاً عُمرَكَ بِالتّوفيقِ

    يسلكُ فيكَ أَقوَمَ الطّريقِ

    By the status of the best of creation

    He who brought us guidance and truth

  42. بِجاهِ أَفضلِ الوَرى وَالخَلقِ

    مَن قَد أَتانا بِالهُدى وَالحقِّ

    Muhammad His most venerated messenger

    And chosen one, most supreme

  43. مُحمّد رَسولهُ المُعظّمِ

    وَمُصطَفاهُ المُجتبى المُفخَّمِ

    His prayers upon him and peace

    Lasting as long as night and day

  44. صَلاتُه عَليهِ وَالسّلامُ

    ما دامَتِ اللّيالي وَالأيّامُ

    And his noble, virtuous Household

    And his pious, righteous Companions

  45. وَآلِهِ الأماجِدِ الأَخيارِ

    وَصَحبِهِ الأَكارِمِ الأَبرارِ

    As long as a branch sways, a pigeon moans,

    Lightning flashes, clouds loom,

  46. ما اِهتَزَّ غُصنٌ ما شَدا الحمامُ

    ما لاحَ بَرقُ ما هَمى الغَمامُ

    As the opening from his Almighty Creator

    Which he hopes will grace this minister with victory and triumph,

  47. ما الفَتحُ مِن خالِقِهِ القديرِ

    يَرجوهُ فَضلاً نَصرَ ذا الوزيرِ

    Grant him manifest victory and conquest,

    And protect him from every fear and danger,

  48. وَمَنحهُ الفَتحَ المُبينَ وَالظّفرْ

    وَحِفظَهُ مِن كلِّ هولٍ وَخَطَرْ

    Vanquishing his enemies in every age

    Cloaking them in the garb of afflictions and ordeals,

  49. وَقَهرَهُ الأَعداءَ في كلِّ زَمَنْ

    يلبِسُهم ثَوبَ البَلايا وَالمِحَنْ

    While he enjoys in life an easy livelihood

    And goodness, always in a good state;

  50. مُنَعَّماً في الدّهرِ بِالعيشِ الهَني

    وَطيبِهِ دَوماً وحالٍ حسنِ

    And praise belongs to God, ever

    From the beginning to the ending of the world.

  51. وَالحَمدُ للَّهِ مَعَ الدّوامِ

    مِن مَبدَأ الدُّنيا إِلى الختامِ
