لِيَ دَعوى عَلى الحَبيبِ بِأَنّي

مُغرَمٌ بِهواهُ وَفيهِ جُنونُهْ

I have a claim against the beloved that

I am infatuated by his love, caught in his madness

إِن بَدا مُنكِراً وَرامَ شُهوداً

فَشُهودي فُؤاده وَعُيونُه

If he denies it and calls for witnesses

Then my witnesses are his heart and his eyes
