وَغُلام ناديتهُ تِهْ دَلالاً

مَلَأ الكَونَ يا حَبيبي بَهاؤُكْ

A boy I called, come hither guide

Your light, my love, the world does fill

قُلتُ ما الاِسم قالَ لي اِسمي شَمس

قُلتُ صِدقاً هَذا الضّياءُ ضِياؤُك

I asked his name, he said: My name is Sun

I said: Indeed, this radiance comes from you
