أُكرِمتَ مِنْ خَيرِ بَيتٍ يا اِبنَ خَيرِ نبي

أُكرِمتَ مِنْ خَيرِ بَيتٍ يا اِبنَ خَيرِ نبي

فَفيكَ لِلمَجدِ تَفخيمٌ وَتَوقيرُ

فَفيكَ لِلمَجدِ تَفخيمٌ وَتَوقيرُ

You were honored as one from the noblest house, O son of the noblest Prophet.

For in you glory finds exaltation and reverence.

نَشَأتَ في مَكَّةَ جاراً لِكَعبَتِها

نَشَأتَ في مَكَّةَ جاراً لِكَعبَتِها

فَأمّكَ العِزُّ لما عمَّكَ النورُ

فَأمّكَ العِزُّ لما عمَّكَ النورُ

You grew up in Mecca, a neighbor to its Kaaba.

Then glory pinned its hopes on you when the light encompassed you.

سَعيي إليكَ كما أسعى لها حسَنٌ

سَعيي إليكَ كما أسعى لها حسَنٌ

فللجِوار كما قد قيلَ تأثيرُ

فللجِوار كما قد قيلَ تأثيرُ

My journey to you, as I journey to her, is beautiful.

For nearness, as has been said, exerts an influence.
