في ماءِ وَجنَتِهِ ذاتِ الجمالِ سَرى
عِذارُه مذ تبدّى زَورقاً لَبِقا
Across the waters of his beauty-blessed cheek there glided
his down, from when it first appeared—a graceful skiff.
وَمُذ رَآهُ البها في مائِها غَرقاً
بِالوَردِ وَالمِسكِ والأَنوارِ قَد وَسَقا
And when Splendor saw it drowned within those waters,
it was freighted with roses, musk, and radiance.
