أَيا حُسنَ يَومٍ في الرَّبيعِ مغيِّمٍ
بِأَبيضِ غيمٍ مِن بَديعِ الغَمائِمِ
How lovely a spring day, overcast
With white cloud among the wondrous clouds!
بِهِ البردُ قَد أَضحى شَديداً بِلا اِمتِرا
فَشَمسُ الضّحى فيهِ اِرتَدَت فَروَ قاقمِ
On that day the cold has indeed grown severe, without doubt;
So on that day the morning sun has donned an ermine coat.
