طَلِّقْ كُؤوسَ الطُّلى وَاِهجُرْ مَراشِفَها

طَلِّقْ كُؤوسَ الطُّلى وَاِهجُرْ مَراشِفَها

وَإِنْ بَدَت لَكَ شَمساً بَعدَ إِشراقِ

وَإِنْ بَدَت لَكَ شَمساً بَعدَ إِشراقِ

Divorce the cups of wine, and forsake their lips.

Even if, after shining forth, it appears to you as a sun,

لا تَلتَفِتْ نَحوَ ساقٍ كانَ ناوَلها

لا تَلتَفِتْ نَحوَ ساقٍ كانَ ناوَلها

مَن طَلَّقَ البِكرَ لَم يَنظرْ إِلى السّاقي

مَن طَلَّقَ البِكرَ لَم يَنظرْ إِلى السّاقي

Do not turn toward a cupbearer who had offered it;

Whoever divorces the virgin wine does not look at the cupbearer.
