قَد قَيّدت أَلسِنَة الأَنام في

هَذا الزّمان عَن كَلام خَشنِ

I have tied the tongues of people in

This age from harsh speech

رَبّي أَطِل بِراحةٍ في مدّتي

وَأَحيِني إِلى اِنطِلاق الأَلسُنِ

My Lord, grant me relief in my term

And bring me to the loosening of tongues
