1. قالَت لَدى نَقلِ السّوارِ لِخصرِها

    وَالزّندُ كادَ لِضيقِهِ أَن يُغلِقهْ

    When she moved the bracelet to her wrist,

    Its tightness almost made it stick shut.

  2. ضاقَ السّوارُ بِمِعصَمي فَنَقَلتُهُ

    وَجَعَلتُهُ مِن ضيقِهِ لي منطقَه

    The bracelet was too tight on my wrist, so I moved it

    And its tight fit became my belt.
