For one sip follows another without cease

And setters in the west where they disappear

Spheres of precious pearls with razors

    The east casts them forcefully

Jewels of pearls, strung together as a necklace

That carries them, ready to pluck

The new crescent of the horizon, son of the fourth night

Without light in half, the other half shrouded

Like a crystal disk that came suddenly

To snatch, startling, seizing half for itself
