ما خالَه غَير إِنسانٍ بِوَجنَتِهِ
مِن حُسنِها قَد تَحلّى الحُسنُ وَاِزدانا
His mole is nothing but a “person” upon his cheek;
From its beauty, beauty itself has become adorned and resplendent.
فَإِنّ وَجنَتَهُ الحسناءَ قَد جَذَبَت
إِنسانَ عَيني فَكانَ الخالُ إِنسانا
For his beautiful cheek has drawn
The pupil of my eye, so the mole became a “person.”
