أَرى هَذِهِ الدُّنيا مِنَ الإِنسِ ما بِها

سِوى جاهِلٍ عاتٍ لَئيمٍ وَعابِثِ

I see in this world of people naught

Save foolish, vain, despicable, wanton wights,

فَهل زالَ جِنسُ الإِنسِ مِنها فلا يُرى

وَلَم يَبقَ غيرُ الخُبثِ ثمَّ الخبايثِ

So is mankind all gone from it or what?

Leaving but villains and the villain knights?
