بُشْراكَ طَيرُ الهَنا مِن فَوقِ أَغصانِ

مِنَ السّرورِ تَغَنَّى فَوقَ عيدانِ

Your bird of bliss sings joyously above the branches

With gladness, above the pliant boughs.

وَقَد أَتانا بِشيرُ السّعدِ يُخبِرُنا

بِأَنَّ ذا العيد عِندَ النّاسِ عيدانِ

And the herald of good fortune has come to tell us

That for the people this holiday is two feasts in one.

فَفَتحُ عكّا وَعيدُ النّحرِ يَعقُبهُ

فَالفتحُ الاِوّلُ وَالثّاني هوَ الثَّاني

So Aqqa is opened, followed by the Feast of the Sacrifice -

The first feast and the second are thus the second feast.

وَالحَمدُ للّهِ مَنْ بِاللُّطفِ أَدرَكَنا

وَلُطفُهُ جَلَّ لَم يُدرَكْ بِأَذهانِ

Thanks be to God, who with kindness has let us reach

This day - His abundant kindness cannot be grasped by minds.
