1. دارَ العِذارُ بِوَجهِهِ فَكَأنَّهُ

    مِسْكٌ بِهِ بَدرُ الدّياجي يكْتَسي

    The face of the one who denied passion is like

    The full moon wrapped in brocade.

  2. لا مِسك إِلّا ما حَواهُ بِخالِهِ

    قَد أَرَّخوهُ وَبِالعِذارِ السُّندسي

    Nothing is as fragrant as what his cheek contains -

    They have perfumed it with passion and fine silk.
