I visit her whenever, heedless of what
Her people cast at me from the mountain crags—
The strife of swords, the arrows and the spears
Of her irascible clansmen hurling death.
Reproach me not should I be found a corpse
In the ravine, for life to me is brief.
Did ever one who perished for his love
Die save by passion and the sword's sharp edge?
