1. يُفاخِرُنا بِكَثرَتِهم عَديداً

    بُغاثُ الطّيرِ أَكثرُها فِراخا

    They boast to us of their numbers, many

    Yet sparrows, the most numerous of birds, are but chicks.

  2. يُعيِّرنا بِقِلَّتِنا عَديداً

    وَفَرزٌ واحِدٌ يُردي الرّخاخا

    They taunt us for our fewness, many

    While one trained falcon scatters the host.
