يا حُسنَ نَهرٍ وَالزّهور تَناثَرَت
تَطفو عَلَيهِ وَإِنّ فاهُ باسِمُ
Oh beauty of a river as flowers are scattered
Floating upon it, though its mouth smiles
لَمّا تَزَوَّجَ بِالصَّبا فَرحاً بِهِ
نَثَرَت عَلَيهِ مِنَ الغُصونِ دَراهِمُ
When it was wed to the morning breeze happily
It scattered upon it from the branches its pearls
