Blond cheek-hair appeared in the morning,
The fair of cheek appeared at dawn
on the face of him who left no breath of life in me.
With a face that left me no respite
And oh, my heart’s anguish for the sun of beauty,
So my heart burns for the sun of beauty
and the dawn of the brow that illuminates the dusk!
And the bright morning of the glowing dusk
Has the time come for the sun of the mountains to set,
Is it time for the sun of the mountains to set
since the sun has vanished beneath the twilight?
Now that the sun has gone down beneath the horizon
