When I bent down to kiss him, he attacked
When I leaned down to kiss it chastely
With the sword of a glance that almost seemed my slayer.
With a glance's swift sword that seemed to undo me
So my blood flowed, and a drop of it struck
My blood flowed and was marked by a drop
The camphor of his cheek, of which one never tired.
Camphor and his lips that did not tire
No wonder if the drop clung to it, for it is
It’s no wonder that when pressed to him
Camphor's habit to stanch blood.
Camphor’s habit is to staunch the blood
