وَسائَلٍ يَسألُني
عمّا بكفّي اِختَبا
And a questioner asks me
Questions ask of me,
about what lay hidden in my palm.
About what's concealed in my palm.
فَقُلتُ عَفصٌ في يدي
عَلى قَفاكَ اِنقَلَبا
So I said, “A gallnut in my hand,
I said, "It's just air that slipped
turned over on the back of your neck.”
From your nape that I've wrapped up."
