You gave me soap, a gift from you, with which I washed away
You gave me soap from you with which I washed
the stains of a sin I had indeed committed with you.
Some wrong I did with you I confess though vague
And with it you have cured my heart of suffering,
With it I'm cured of my love's agony and teen
and with it you have removed the fever from my body.
With it from my body you took away fatigue
