I am the sorrowful one who watches the star at night,
I am the melancholic one who at night tends the star,
And has remained a lovesick wanderer, grazing on herbage in the mountains.
And roams lost, tending in the mountains the star.
I swore by the sun, O my full moon, and by the moon and the star,
I swear by the sun, my moon, the star,
That you are unrivaled in beauty, splendor, and grace,
That you are unique in beauty, and grace, and charm,
And the full moon is your servant, yet you are called the Star.
The full moon is your slave, yet you are called a star.
