إنْ سُدتَ قَومَكَ فَاِنفَعْ

إنْ سُدتَ قَومَكَ فَاِنفَعْ

صَغيرَهُم كَالكبيرِ

صَغيرَهُم كَالكبيرِ

If you lead your people, bring benefit

If you prevent your people, then benefit

to their lowly as you do to the great.

The small among them like the elder

وَكُفَّ عَنهُم أُموراً

وَكُفَّ عَنهُم أُموراً

تَكون شَرَّ الأمورِ

تَكون شَرَّ الأمورِ

And ward off from them matters

And refrain from them things

that are the worst of matters.

Which would be the worst of matters

وَكلَّ وَقتٍ أَعِنْهم

وَكلَّ وَقتٍ أَعِنْهم

وَلا تَكُن ذا قصورِ

وَلا تَكُن ذا قصورِ

And help them at all times,

And at all times aid them

and do not fall short.

And be not one who falls short

لَو لَم تُعِنْهم بِنَفعٍ

لَو لَم تُعِنْهم بِنَفعٍ

فَأَنتَ دونَ الصّغيرِ

فَأَنتَ دونَ الصّغيرِ

If you do not help them with any benefit,

If you do not aid them with benefit

then you are beneath the lowly.

Then you are less than the small
