You clothed me in a raiment whose beauty fades,

So I shall clothe you in robes of noble praise.

You are the son of those whose noble deeds adorned the world,

And whose glory became a proverb among all mankind.

Through you, God guided our past and our future,

For you are a mercy through which we attained our hope.

The pebbles of the earth could be counted before your virtues—

In worldly rank, in faith, in charity, and in creed.

So may God clothe you in blessings and appoint you

Our kings, as long as a star rises and sets.
