Repeat to me the soft words, repeat them
Repeat to me the tale of the winding valley, repeat it again,
For you have reminded me, so delight my hearing and increase
For you have stirred my memory, so adorn my ears with it and give me more.
It is the talk where its cheerfulness appears
It is the tale whose brightness clears away
From the heart of every devout, the moss of depression
The dark fog of grief from the heart of every pious soul.
It is that which filled the frowning world with its tidings
It is the story whose good tidings have filled the world,
And the universe was clothed in its new robes
And made the universe trail its robes of new glory.
An opening with it, openings to the religion were opened
A victory by which the eyes of Religion were opened,
And before it had complained of the illness of blindness
When before it, Religion had complained of blinding ailments.
So call out to the people in the loudest voice rising
So call out among the people with the loudest, soaring voice,
East and west, and in the desert and in the town
To the West and the East, to the Bedouin and the city dweller:
Now make pilgrimage, O children of Islam, and perform lesser pilgrimage
"Perform Hajj now, O sons of Islam, and perform the Umrah,
God has changed that misery into comfort
For God has replaced that misery with abundant comfort."
So it is an invitation, O children of Islam, all together
It is a unifying call, O sons of Islam,
India and Egypt, and whoever is in the region of pillars
To India, to Egypt, and to those in the lands of high pillars.
Take your share of an opportunity that came up
Seize your share of an opportunity that has arisen,
At the end of time that did not occur to an immortal
In these latter days, one that never crossed the mind.
And awaken aspirations that have long been dormant
And awaken ambitions that have long slumbered,
And in the morning were about the position of glory wandering
And had turned away from the station of dignity.
This is your prince, O believers, who has strived
This is your Prince, O believers, who has strived
For your righteousness, so answer the caller to righteousness
For your guidance, so answer the caller to the right path.
This one who the frowning world smiled with
This is the one by whom frowning Time has smiled,
And before him the people were from it in misery
Whereas before him, people were in misery because of it.
This one who God refreshed the people with
This is the one by whom God has revived mankind,
Calling them to guidance when they were guided
Calling them to guidance after he himself was guided to it.
He forgives generously and pardons from his nature
He overlooks faults with generosity, for pardoning is his nature,
But for the disobedient, he is painful in the liver
But to the rebellious, he is a wasting disease in the liver.
Rise up standing on the feet of your grandfather
Rise up, standing upon the feet of your diligence,
For lethargy is a mount for the incapable, weak one
For sluggishness is the mount of the helpless fool.
This one struggles with the dear soul and that
This one struggles with his precious soul, and that one
With his money and God will bring aid
With his wealth, and God brings the reinforcement.
Do not reckon, O children of Islam, that you have
Do not think, O sons of Islam, that you possess
Glory without the consensus of opinion and endurance
Any glory without the unity of opinion and endurance.
Take the advice of one who cares for your matter
Take the advice of one who is concerned by your affairs,
Who did not think of you with embellishment or shackles
Who expects from you neither praise nor reward.
There must be a refuge for the Muslims, for it
There must be a sanctuary for the Muslims that possesses
Freedom, plainness from the palm of an oppressor
Unfettered freedom, safe from the hand of an oppressor.
It disputes the aggressor about them and repels him
A power that disputes the aggressor on their behalf and repels him,
In word and deed when he plunges into aggression
By word and by deed, if he persists in his obstinate strife.
And we have probed and encircled the countries but did not
We have probed and circled the lands, yet we did not,
Fall upon with searching this upon anyone
Despite our search for such a leader, stumble upon anyone,
Except upon the one whom God completed his blessings
Except for him upon whom God has completed His favor,
For the Muslims, for him at the end of time
For the benefit of the Muslims, in these end times.
Abdulaziz, whose rule
Abdulaziz, whose guardianship has been
Was glory for the religion and open-handedness for the world
A glory for religion and an open-handed bounty for the world.
Branch of the Imams from the highest lineage and in
The branch of Imams from the highest of Nizar, and in
The core of glory from the highest clan of Udad
The root of glory from the highest of the sons of Udad.
They protected souls from what defiles it
They preserved their souls from the indecency that sullies,
And clothed it in piety interwoven with pearls
And clothed them in piety like tightly woven mail.
And you have seen clearly the goodness of his conduct
You have seen with your own eyes the excellence of his conduct,
And seeing with the eye negates the lies of the envious
And the witness of the eye refutes the falsehood of the envious.
None like the one whose action was to bar people from the
He is not like one whose deed is barring people from the
Forbidden house without text or precedent
Sacred House, without scriptural text or authority.
As if he did not recite what is in the Psalms and what
As if he never recited what is in the Psalms, nor what is
Is in Surat Al-Hajj regarding one who intended destruction
In Surah Al-Hajj regarding those who intend obstruction.
And the most honorable of people in status before God
And "The most noble of people in status with God"
Are the words of the One, the Eternal, those who fear God
"Is the one who fears God"—the word of the One, the Unique.
So entrust your matter to the one in whom is your righteousness
So entrust your command to the one in whom lies your guidance,
O Muslims, and support him fully
O Muslims, and strengthen his arm with your support.
For he is not the incapable one who hands leadership to whoever
He is not a weakling who surrenders the reins to whomever
He wants, no, nor the scowling gloomy one
Pleases him, no, nor is he a frowning wretch.
But he is the fierce lion, if his palms were
But he is the fierce lion; if his palms grapple
Stirred by opposition, he becomes a lion tearing prey
Against an opponent, the lion leaves him shattered.
So oh You who has power over all things
O You who are Mighty over all things, All-Powerful,
And who gave to those who wanted without limit
And whose giving to whom He wills is without limit,
Open aid for Abdulaziz the chosen one
Grant to the chosen Abdulaziz a support
With which to protect our religion from an obstinate unbeliever
By which he protects our religion from every angry disbeliever.
Making the Hejaz and those who stood with him happy
Congratulations to the Hijaz and its allies; there came to them early
A delightful rain without lightning or thunder
A wholesome rain without lightning or thunder.
Watering their plants in it and their meager ones
Their wealthy and their poor graze freely within it,
They do not fear in it the might of lions
Fearing not, within it, the assault of the lion.
So fulfill sincerely an obligation from the sanction of your law
So perform a duty sincere to the text of your law,
Upon you, which was authentic from Taha without blemish
Binding upon you, authenticated from the Prophet without error.
Hearing and obeying whom He made ruler over you
Hearing and obeying him whom the Lord of Servants
The Lord of servants without deception or hatred
Has entrusted with your affairs, without deceit or malice.
But if you refuse, then God is his supporter
For if you refuse, then God is his Victor,
And God is watching the traitorous betrayer
And God lies in wait for the treacherous betrayer.
The matter is serious, so be warned of it
The matter is grave, so be cautious regarding it;
Lest folly precede the torrents of flood with cold
Let not the drizzle precede the flood of the dam with hail.
Indeed the Imam whom you are charged with
Indeed, the Imam in whose custody you remain
Is more merciful than a pleased parent to a child
Is more compassionate than a father pleased with his child.
But he has powers during his anger
But he possesses an overwhelming power when angered,
More fitting to erase the highest from the body
Capable of severing the head from the body.
Covering detested things, reddening its towering heights
He plunges into the hateful battle while its high flames turn red,
For it is the rumble like the sea casting forth foam
Possessing a roar like the sea casting up foam.
So oh King lofty in glory, a position
O King who has ascended in glory to a rank
That exhausted passed kings from ancient times
That baffled the kings who passed in ancient times,
Put the subjects first with benevolence and forgiveness
Bestow upon the subjects kindness and forgiveness,
For you are a shield for them from every oppressor
For you are a shield for them against every oppressor.
For many a night of an oppressed one that he cuts short
For many a night the oppressed one spends awake,
After apprehension with praising and wakefulness
After entrusting his case to God, in praise and sleeplessness.
This, while I know your conduct
This I say, though I know that your conduct
Is the conduct of justice, but an earnest advisor
Is the conduct of justice, yet this is the advice of a diligent friend.
So pardon me, may your time make smooth, my soul and what
So pardon—may destruction ransom you—my soul and what
My palms have held back of virulence or was from a boy
My hands possess of wealth or of children.
For there is none but you who makes life sweet with him
For there is no one but you by whom life becomes sweet;
I have probed the people of my time with the probing of a critic
I have tested the people of my time with the test of a critic.
And enjoy life safe in the shade of a kingdom
Live in grace and remain safe in the shade of a kingdom,
Glory for the people of piety, humiliation for every transgressor
A glory for the people of piety, a humiliation for every degenerate.
And pray, my Lord, and send peace always forever
And send blessings, my Lord, and peace constantly and forever,
Upon the Intercessor of mankind on the overwhelming day
Upon the Intercessor of mankind in the scorching Place of Standing,
And his household of cave and companions all of them
And upon his radiant family and the companions, all of them,
No hearing has rested hearing the voice of the singing bird
As long as an ear finds joy in the voice of the singing bird.
