وَقائِلٍ كَيفَ تَهاجَرتُما

فَقُلتُ قَولاً فيهِ إِنصافُ

And someone asks, "Why did you part?"

So I said, fairly,

لَم يَكُ مِن شَكلي فَتارَكتُهُ

وَالناسُ أَشكالٌ وَأُلّافُ

"He did not suit my form, so I left him -

People have all sorts of forms and types."
