One day and two nights' hospitality,

And the wearing of two worn garments,

Are lighter than the obligation of favors,

From people whose eyelids weigh more heavily than that upon me.

Though I am a man with a family to support,

Of little wealth and many debts,

Yet I thank God, now that

My needs are only between Him and me.
