أزال عظم ذراعي عن مركبّةٍ

حمل الردينيَّ ولأدلاجُ في السحَرِ

He removed my arm's bone from the saddle,

Carried me while the dark still lingered at dawn,

حولينِ ما اغتمضت عيني بمنزلةٍ

إلا وكفي وساد لي على حجرِ

Around me, as my eyes have never blinked

Except my palm has cushioned me on a rock.
